If you unplugged from news for the holidays, you may not know this—but a truly MASSIVE feud has broken out inside Trump World.
And (surprise, surprise) Elon Musk is pouring gasoline on the whole thing.
The spark that started the firestorm is Musk's desire to increase the number of H1-B visas in the United States. In other words: Musk would love to open the floodgates for more highly-skilled workers to come to the USA (mainly from Asia) to help supercharge America's tech sector.
But MAGA loyalists want to seal the borders to ALL immigrants.
They would hang out the same "NO HELP WANTED" sign for HIGH-skilled immigrants, LOW-skilled immigrants and NO-skilled immigrants, alike. They want American jobs for Americans ONLY.
These opposing priorities have split Trump's coalition—in dramatic fashion.
A war of words escalated primarily on X/Twitter—which Musk owns and controls. To retaliate against his critics, Musk appears to be throttling and shadow-banning MAGA powerhouses like Laura Loomer, who have called him out.
He is even removing the coveted blue checkmarks from his critics' names.
