I am not going to waste time trying to impress you with the few things on your list I have been doing. I will only note how discouraging it is to be in a State that is so blood red as to make it a rehearsal of futility for Dens to show up at the polls. Dang electoral college system effectively nullifies millions of votes!(*&^%$#@!
I will, of course, vote and encourage as many others as I can ~ but still ..

This is a great article, Van. Good time to sound the alarm. Good suggestions for a to-do list. On the positive side, I have not seen Dems. this fired up, this organized, doing things this smart in the last 50 years. On the down side, did you see Robert Reich's article today ("How the hell can the race be tied?")? Scared the hell out of me. I suspect that behind the curtains it is even worse than he portrayed.
Although I take your point, this doesn’t feel like 2016 to me at all. We are seeing RECORD voter turnout, and record levels of grassroots volunteer support and donations. We can’t take our foot off the gas, but let’s not forget how far we’ve come just since July and how much more proactive we’ve been in this election cycle. We need HOPE to keep going, not just fear.
For our part, we are displaying yard signs, donating, wearing our campaign gear, talking to everyone in our circle, making educational social media posts, putting up bathroom postits, and have offered to volunteer on Election Day at the polls as greeters.

YIKES!! ...but I'm holding the vision that this time a women will prevail...and in my own way will be using my written words (in this case a novel called "IN THE WAKE OF CHAOS" by Delaina Layne) and sharing those chapters freely to help others navigate this political challenge :-)
I took your advice and am trying on my own to make this go viral--I wasn't able to really reach many people higher up in the Kamala Organization. So I am putting this out everywhere I can find: can you please help me spread the word Van--and thanks again for replying to me before:

Invite Republicans for Kamala Harris across all the battleground states to show up this weekend and next at the Kamala Harris field offices to canvas and be paired with a Democrat --we just might convince the few that are still on the fence and also show that we can turn over a new bipartisan leaf and work together as American patriots for our collective future
I presume everyone I engage with in classy L..A. is for Harris, and was shocked to discover my fix-everything longstanding contractor/handyman is voting Trump. I tried to get a reason and he mumbled "economy" that he couldn't say more about, but it got me thinking how valuable it would be if we had more insight into why good people -- and he is good people -- would do that. More insight could make us more effective campaigners for Harris.
