Listening to conversation was like a breath of fresh air. I appreciate Steve’s perspective on why/how democrats managed to alienate so many voters. We were perceived as being dishonest— about Biden’s fitness for office, about the economy, and about border security. And I equally appreciate your perspective on this Van — especially how we really need to do less criticizing, and canceling of those with whom we disagree, and instead engage in authentic, forward looking conversations. Thank you.

thank you for this insightful commentary and I agree with much of what was said, however I do feel that Kamala hit on many of those things that were said was missing, authenticity, speaking to the real problems and how we can fix them...what I really think is that many people just aren't ready to vote for an accomplished woman and that is sad because it has the potential to revolutionize our country if ever given the chance.

Listening to Steve Schmidt blame people for not being prepared for the unimaginative was exceptionally irritating

Outstanding conversation. I so appreciate the tough love for progressives. We can't keep hating on and blaming the right; we must consider where to improve. And yes...there just hasn't been enough re-imagining of a new destination for us all the way MLK did. I appreciated the references to the speeches mentioned, Bobby Kennedy, Jesse Jackson, and Obama. We need to revisit these and learn how to INSPIRE vs simply beating the other guys down. We lost. We need a new playbook. PS: Van I loved your contribution to the MLK film.

You were both, sadly, right on! How do we now open the eyes of those “in charge” of the Democratic Party, so that we course correct and offer the vision of an America for all, where everyone is seen and heard and their concerns are understood and addressed?
