I’m a long time admirer of yours that goes back to your attempt to talk to Trump supporters in 2016. I have an idea I wish could go viral and maybe you can help me advertise it and reach republican supporters of Harris. What if the last two weekends of canvassing a Republican for Kamala got paired up with a democrat and they went out knocking on doors together to get out the vote. 1. Might help convince some undecided voters and 2. Might show that we can pave the way to work together dems and republicans in the future. I’ve talked to the head of Republicans for Kamala in PA but the idea needs to spread further to other battleground states. Can you help get news media to advertise this and maybe reach the right people to facilitate this? Wouldn’t take much more than inviting Republicans who support Harris to come to their local Harris field offices and go out canvassing. They won’t come I don’t think on their own unless they knew it was a “thing” and a last two weekend push. Just might make a difference…I just don’t know how to reach the powers that be to suggest this…I’ve been canvassing myself and registering voters in PA.
Thanks for canvassing and voter registration work. That’s the hard nitty gritty stuff that wins elections. I will suggest this to the people I know at the campaign. You never know! In the meantime, thanks for everything you’ve done and will do to win this thing.

Not really. The campaign staff is overwhelmed. It’s the kind of idea that would take some organizing— and people are already sprinting downfield with existing plans. I will try. But no promises. Honestly, you should just do it yourself with a GOP friend — and post the photo on social media. We have to self-organize more and see what catches organically.

Ann Womble of rebound for Kamala announced the idea yesterday I think at the rally protest in Lancaster and said she would announce it on a weekly zoom with her counterparts across the state. But since time is so short I’m trying everything and everyone to get the word out.
I’ll try—I did contact and connect with the Langes who spoke with Kamala the other day in PA and thru them got the idea across to Ann Wimble head of republicans for Kamala in Pennsylvania. I’ll keep trying to get to the other battleground states. Just wish I could contact msnbc hosts or cnn hosts who could suggest it somehow and it coincided with happen. I don’t think it would take that much organizing but these republicans would need an invitation to show up at the field offices-they wouldn’t just do it alone. My parents were involved politically and so have I all my life. Your remarks recently about blacks and Jews really resonated with me too. My parents used to go out as the white couple after the black couple was told they couldn’t rent so they could prove discrimination back in the fifties and early sixties.
Spot on auntie. Thank you for this insight, now my family and I finally know why our highly educated sister LOVES Trump (the only explanation that makes sense):
“Trump is like that guy who tells a woman he loves her, gets what he wants, and then laughs behind her back to his buddies about her stupidity for believing him.”
She has a history of being with abusive partners and we’re wondering if that’s typical of his female supporters that think he can do no wrong.
Unwinding the damage he’s done to our families will be a national project of healing; and require a lot of extra mental health support from the feds and insurance companies for his victims.
If all the above is true, then the only electoral strategy for getting these people’s votes is to be abusive and treat them like crap. What would that field operation look like? Lol. Of course I’m joking, because that’s not who we are and we don’t want that vote. But our campaign has essentially been therapy for the country. It’s been a great run and I’m looking for to V-Day!!! Thank you everyone, let’s GOTV this thing!!!
And yes, GOTV is the key! So many people are ambivalent and think Trump will defeat himself. He won’t! We lost Florida by 200 votes in 2000 — and the world is a massively worse place for it. Thanks for everything you are doing.
I have to preface this with : I am not a US Citizen and I live on the other side of the world to you so my interest in your election is from the point of view of the rest of the world desperately crossing our fingers and toes for sanity to return.
